I've not tried their tech support so I can't comment on the other reviewer's experiences, but the product works fine for me. It is compatible with both Quicken and QuickBooks, and there are no surprise fees like with VersaCheck. I knocked off one star because it's got a few deficiencies, but only one because I can't find anything better.
Problems:
- Upgrades to follow Intuit are too expensive. You don't have to upgrade every time, but when you do need to, it's a full upgrade. Since they don't really enhance the program from year to year, it would be more fair if they provided a free patch to address compatibility.
- You can't use one custom check design as a template for another. You have to start with canned templates, which means that if you want to use very similar checks for two or more different accounts, you have to design each from scratch.
- You can't print filled-in deposit slips. All you can do is print customized blanks. By this I mean that you customize the blanks as you would a check (including the MICR line), but then the best you can do is print out a batch and store them in a drawer or something to fill out by hand when you need them.
- Deposit slip design capabilities are less versatile than checks. I'd like to have a 3-up capability to make better use of paper, but the best I can do is one over-sized slip per page.

Despite the ad this doesn't work with Quicken 2008 or Quickbooks 2009. There are apparently no product patches or updates which deal with this problem.

This is the most frustrating program I ever buy, the technical support is a waist of time they send me to a web page advancetech and never find an answer for my question I have the program for about 9 Days and I can`t figure out how to make a check I can only get blank checks I can not fill the information that I want to put, like amount payee and to who so I`m going to remove it from my computer and return it to the store and buy Versacheck 2008 to see if that one is better than this crap. So any one to want to be frustrated with this program feel free to buy it

Anyone looking for check printing software to use with Quicken or Quickbooks 2011 should look elsewhere, at least for now. The version being sold here and in the retail outlets is Version 10.0, which is not compatable with Quicken 2011 - not compatable as in it will not read the datafile to generate checks. There is supposed to be a new version, called either 2011 or 11.0, depending on where you read about it. However, I cannot find it in any of the retail channels, including Amazon, and in fact, the Avanquest web site link for ordering it "straight from the publisher" seems to be offering the old version 10, even though they call it "NEW".

I have attempted to install and use this program numerous times and have spoke with the company for technical advice all to no avail... a total waste of fifty dollars. Would not recommend this to anyone!
