 Underwhelming Performance; Needs Frequent RechargingSep 05, 2010

I bought this battery after my original Panasonic battery required near constant recharge. So I bought another Panasonic battery as a replacement and expected good talk time. Unfortunately the new battery is not a whole lot better than the used one. It too requires recharge frequently, much more so than a Uniden phone, for example. A huge disappointment.
Sure, it's possible I got a lemon, or one that was manufactured a few years ago but sold recently. Regardless, I would not buy another.
My advice: don't pay a premium price for this battery, and if a reputable alternative battery is available, by all means try it. You won't be risking much.
UPDATE: It functions like a 4 year old battery. Needs constant recharging. Suggest you AVOID this battery!
2nd UPDATE: This is what I bought to replace the Panasonic Battery:
HQRP Cordless Phone Battery for Panasonic P-P504 / HHR-P501 / PQWBTC1461M Replacement / Extended / High-capacity / plus Coaster
It works GREAT. Like a brand new phone. Will hold a charge for several days away from its base station too. Pay the shipping, it's worth it.

Admittedly I was ready to go buy a new cordless phone when the battery stopped recharging. A friend said "Why don't you just buy a new battery?!" It just didn't enter my mind! Amazon made it easy to find the right battery at the right price. Delivery was prompt and it did the trick. No new phone for me!

This was just what I needed. I had an older phone that was no longer charging when left on the cradle. I changed out these batteries and I no longer have the problem.

The battery has been installed for awhile now and is holding a charge just fine. I haven't had the phone turned on a very long time however the phone is like new again...
